WSTT Menu Screens

'Who's Steering This Thing?' is a chaotic team game where you are a group of aliens who steal a ship from an intergalactic courier service called Es-CARGO to prove that you are fit for the courier job. Work together your 'Jiblian' crew mates operating a ship not designed for them. Juggle the exciting responsibilities of steering through treacherous asteroid fields, feed your snail companion to refuel for your travels, and repair damages that may be caused in disasters.

Here are some of the menu and graphical screens that I designed for my final year project at Falmouth University. The main goal was to make something iconic and kid friendly, but not so kid friendly that it may appear 'boring' to an older audience. I believe I did this, primarily through a strong colour palette, it makes it delightfully eye-catching.

If I were to do something different however, the Main Menu screen feels very early 2000's flash game to me, most likely it's the buttons but I feel that the whimsy of them makes it so they carry themselves well!

Main Menu - Parallaxes in game, when mouse hovers over buttons, text glows green.

Host Screen - when mouse hovers over box, characters get bigger and spill over the box.

Pause Screen - Access to settings and to quit the game while game is in progress. 'Are you sure?' there as a failsafe to mitigate any accidental button presses.
